The Ally Coalition supported Frank Turner’s Lost Evenings Festival in Boston. As 29 bands took the stage over the course of four nights, with the help of 14 volunteers we were able to raise over $21,500 for equality and give grants to 13 good causes around Boston.
Along the way, we worked with Calling All Crows to bring an active bystander training to the festival, and Active Minds hosted a panel on mental health as well. To support Lost Evenings, our friends at Bombas donated 25,000 pairs of socks to The Pine Street Inn and Stingray Tattoo inked over 100 people, with a part of the proceeds going to TAC.
Because of all of this, Mayor Martin J. Walsh declared the first day of the festival, May 16th, Be More Kind Day in the City Of Boston.
