Recording studios are sacred spaces for self-expression and storytelling. Our Sound Studios initiative provides portable recording studios to community organizations supporting LGBTQ youth. Launched in 2023, TAC partners with top industry brands (including Bose, Korg, Shure, Ableton, and Microsoft) to custom-craft Sound Studios with high-quality equipment and software, and delivers them to LGBTQ youth-serving organizations throughout the U.S. and Canada.

Whether it’s through music, podcasting, spoken word poetry, or other creative audio projects, Sound Studios empower youth to tell their unique stories and share their voices with the world. Sound Studios spark connections, foster community, build young artists’ confidence, and create a pathway to life-saving services for LGBTQ youth, such as housing, medical care, counseling, and job training.

Sound Studios is part of our ambitious goal to make recording studios more accessible to emerging and marginalized artists. We envision a world where public recording studios are as important to the fabric of a community as playgrounds, libraries, and parks.

TAC is always looking to connect Sound Studios organizations with expertise and talent in audio recording, music, songwriting, and podcasting.
